How To Stop Snoring



The most common of sleep noises is snoring. Sometimes it noises is funny, but it can be a source of anger when it’s louder. Snoring is a big problem but many people are unaware that they share snoring to their partner.

Snoring research has shown that there many causes for snoring and a good way to stop snoring for many people is to always sleep with their mouths closed, but when sleeping, how can you be sure that your mouth is always closed?. You can’t guarantee that it will always closed.

There are so many factors that make you have snoring, such as there is an obstruction in a person's nasal passageway, you get sleep apnea, drink alcohol or take drugs that relax the throat muscles.

Obesity can make you have snoring, because when you are obese you have an extra bulky throat tissue which blocks the air wave. Genetic factors such as allergies, asthma, colds or sinus infections, have enlarged tonsils, large adenoids and long uvula can influence you too.

Other factors that can bring about the condition include alcohol, smoking, aging, and drugs. When your throat muscles are relaxed you tend to snore as the muscles tend to block the airway.

When airflow becomes obstructed, which happens for a number of reasons, the tissue of the soft palate or the uvula vibrate, which produces the snoring sound - which can be either soft or annoyingly loud. When these tissues vibrate very loudly, sufferers need to find out how to stop snoring.

The ways to stop snoring that you have are :

1.      Lose your weight
The fatty tissues in the back of the throat is cause of snoring when you are obese. When you aren’t obese again, you will be able to breathe easily and better when you sleep. You must avoid fatty food, smoking, and alcoholic beverages before going to bed.

2.      Use a low pillow when you’re sleeping
Sleep professionals have shown that sleeping on too many pillows tend to stretch and narrow the nasal passages which causes you to snore. If you sleep on a low pillow and you are still congested you should elevate your head by placing books under the mattress in order to encourage better drainage.

3.      Sleeping in different position
If you are sleeping in one position like the supine position, it is advisable that you try to sleep on your sides. 

4.      Sleep on your side and to avoid sleeping on your back
When you sleep on your back, your tongue may accidentally fall backwards and if that happens, it will block the air passage and cause snoring. Therefore, you must make sure that you do not sleep on your back, and if that is a problem there are products on the market that can help you to keep rolling over on your side when you sleep, like the nightshirt with a ball inserted in the back of it.

5.      Do daily exercising methods of the jaw, throat, and mouth
The exercises can include singing as well. There is a long list of ways to stop snoring without using drugs or medications. You might find that all you need to stop snoring and get a good night's sleep if you have done this exercising method routinely.
