Tips For Contact Lens Wearer



Contact lenses are thin and small lenses that used for the eyes, it’s used to cure eyes from it problems and fashion. These are thin and curved discs that are placed on the cornea region of the eye to correct vision defects and have many benefits over glasses. 

Nowadays we have many kind of lenses available in the market which vary corresponding to the requires of the individuals. They include disposable, flexible wear, extended wear, and gas permeable and contacts for special demands.

Since the lenses are not used to correct vision problems, costume and colored contacts are often viewed by teenagers and young adults as accessories rather than medical devices that require proper hygienic care. In other hand, contact lens has been changing the function from the medical needs to the style needs.

If these are not managed properly, there is a higher risk of developing eye infections. So a good quality and best contact lens solution will do a good job in cleaning, disinfecting and rinsing the contact lenses. Even though a lot of people enjoy wearing glasses and fashion brands create pairs that could easily be considered works of contemporary art, the use of contacts is not going to diminish.

There are several rules of eye care that everyone who wears lenses should know, few things to notice :

Firstly, don’t forget this first step, when you would like to buy a solution, always choose the one that is specially designed for the particular type of contact lenses. For example, if you want to wear soft contacts, select products like aqua soft lens solution specially made for soft lenses only. 

Secondly, need the higiene. It’s important to avoid your eyes from inflammamtion or the worst is infection. You should be pay attention to your eyes health. Wash your hand (if needed, wash your face too, because you don’t use these when you’re sleepy) before you using pair of your contact lenses, make sure that your contact lenses won't get any dirt because that could hurt your eyes.

Thirdly, when handling contact lenses, do your best to avoid anything that could have dirt on it. You must always handle the same lens first to avoid mixing up the right and left lenses. Look straight at your eye in the mirror and place the lens onto your eye, then closing your eyes gently. To remove these you must keep the higiene too. 

Fourthly, clean your lenses with new solution regularly and replace your contact lens storage case every 3 months. Make sure to always wear your glasses for a few hours a day to let your corneas get some oxygen. Don’t forget to check your eyes at least once a year with regular appointments to your ophthalmologist.
